Hi everyone! My name is Elsabé Mostert and I am a passionate cake artist from Cape Town, South Africa. Ever since I can remember, baking has been a part of our family. My fondest memory of where my love for the sweeter things in life probably started was when I stood next to my Gran while she was baking each one of us, a papa bear, a momma bear and an almost 4-year-old me sized Traditional Melktert. I still remember her teaching me songs, while she was preparing the oh-so-delicious filling in front of the stove. I remember the songs, I remember the smell of the milky-custard filling and I remember the excitement in the air when she finally pulled the freshly baked milk tarts from the oven!

After school and gaining some experience in the corporate world, I kept having this (let’s call it) craving that I need to do something more, something creative and delightful, and my journey has brought me to this place where I can bring my love for all things sweet together with my keen eye for beautiful and gorgeous things to all of you!
